Thanks for the feedback :)) I think I should make it more clear! I didn't mean that random search is better at higher dimensionality than Bayesian optimization. However, random search does not involve any hard-core math equations underneath the function, but performs relatively well! Sometimes, simplicity is best if it's only causing neglible difference, which is the case for random serach and Bayesian optimization.
